I was born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and during my childhood I also spent some time in Flint, Michigan during my teen years.

 

I’ve always been a curious person and the whole world since my childhood has been the focus of my curiosity and fascination.  I can still remember catching the bus and going downtown to the library by myself around the age of 12 or 13.  At that time I was captivated by jet aircraft, astronomy, rockets, physics, and quickly transitioning from science fiction and comic books to nonfiction.  So from my early teen years till about, the age of 30 I consumed a lot of knowledge on my own.

 

Never went to college, never been married, no kids.

 

Occupation, so from the age of 22 to the present I’ve worked in the oil and gas business and writing is something I like to do on the side and try to make a career out of it.  For somebody with just a high school education I think I’ve done well.  America in my lifetime has been the land of opportunity for me even while dealing with personal demons for a long time.  Still dealing with some but making necessary changes.

 

I’m a big movie person, and documentaries.  Big music lover, classic rock, pop, jazz, new age, disco, electronica, rap, r&b, blues and some country western.

 

I like to cook, my specialties are red beans and rice, spaghetti, fried turkey wings, boudin, baked chicken, baked turkey wings, gumbo and vegetable soup with beef.

 

I’m a news junkie, I like to know what’s going on.

 

My personality, I’m an easygoing person but I can be high strung and easily irritated at times if I my self discipline is lacking, if I’m already upset about something else. I think that’s all of us though. I’m very sociable but on my days off I’m mostly alone and I like it that way.  I hung out a lot in my 20’s up until my early 40’s and then I slowly became more introverted.  Up until then I was 50/50 extrovert/introvert and now I’m guessing I’m 40/60.  I’m 54 now and I guess a lot of us get like this, we’re satisfied to just kick back alone or with our spouse and not hang out with others.  Yes I still do go out and frequent local sports bars and restaurants but to enjoy the company of others because I am and will always be fascinated with people and because I am a social animal.
